Hi,

Has anyone deployed the ADX or ATR breakout strategies?
I have tried them both and they don't seems to work for me.

I have run them on playback over three weeks and no joy.

Has anyone seen any guidelines or have had them running that could help with settings

Hello,

There is no download Replay data for XBT in NT7, but there is in NT8. BTC Replay data is available for download in both NT7 and NT8.

Can you please fix the XBT replay for NT7?

When I try to download it tells me there is no L1 data.
Please help.

Hi,

When I try to select one of the three charts of my workspace with ALT+Tab keys, seven NT8 icons pop up: one for the control centre, three for the charts, and three more without any label that remain inactive if selected. Such behaviour is fairly annoying to me, as the three "dummies" get very much in the way. My OS is Win7.

I already asked this same question more than a year ago , Then RyanM kindly answered that: "I have contacted the Product Management team and confirmed that this is currently a limitation of the ALT+TAB preview.". I am wondering if any change is in sight.

How to fix it?

Hi,

I am looking for some clarification on when to use strategies vs indicators above and beyond the obvious trading and position management functionality. Take for example Multi-Timeframe and Instrument methods that appearonly to beavailable tostrategies.But what if I wanted to develop an indicator that shows a higher timeframe (compressed series) trend or another instrument close[0]as an indicator overlayed on the current chart? Would I have to implement this "indicator" as a strategy? This would be okay, except other useful features likeChartTrader do not allow concurrent use of strategies.

Are there other important difference between strategies and indicators (beyond the obvious) thatcan be highlighted? For example, can strategies do everything an indicator can do and then some?

Hello,

I have my strategy running on the chart. Each time my strategy enters or exits new label appears on the chart (something like Enter Long @1@2000). Sometimes they impede to watch the chart and I want to disable their drawing.

Is it possible?

''tools/options/trading'' facilitates changing chart trader background from default to another color [like red] when trading a simulation account... but it does not work for real money account mode?

Hello:

I would like some assistance parsing a string . The following code:

barTypeName = Bars.BarsType.Period.ToString();

returns

SiBTRenko B:12 T:1 R:17

Can someone please help with the code to extract the values of "B:" and "R:" above and covert them to an integer,

or,

if they can be directly acquired from the Bars object or class, whatever it is, (also as integers) that would be fine too.

Hi Gang!!

I have been emailing e trade back and forth about their strategy scanner and have absolutely no luck on filtering shares with a float of 10 million or less. I have also talked with 3 or 4 of their representatives and no one is able to help me. They finally told me that trade ideas is the manufacturer of their strategy scanner and I should try to contact you guys.

Here is what I'm looking for:

1) New highs on the day
2) Price between 1-10
3) Volume at least 40,000
4) Relative volume 2
5) Float 10 million shares or less.

I am able to do # 1-4 on my own, BUT FINDING STOCKS WITH A FLOAT OF 10 MILLION SHARES OR LESS I HAVE NO LUCK!

quotetracker has been working flawlessly on my laptop and now  i cannot connect to server so that quotetracker opens....i get this message "a network related or instance specific  error occurred while establishing connection to SQL sever.

the sever was not found or not accessible"  what do i do?

Платформа Ninjatrader 8 / How to Reset SIM on NinjaTrader 8? Can't close open position.

Hi,

This should be an easy one, but I can't figure this out. I was running a strategy in SIM and disabled it to restart another strategy, but it left an orphaned postion open (1L) and an average price kind of hanging, since this is in play still it will not take any further trades on any other strategies. I need to clear this out somehow so I can enable a new strategy and take additional trades in SIM.

Here is what I have tried so far:

1. Reset DB
2. Repair DB
3. Uninstall / Reinstall.
4. Change Logged in User (I have a a SIM account and a Lifetime Account) Nothing removes this orphan open position.
5. I deleted all the files from My documents, as as well as C: Programs prior to the uninstall / reinstall.

In NinjaTrader 7 there were some other ways to reset SIM, but in 8 I don't see anything like this.

What am I missing.

Hi

if I enter on ATM orders as follows:

Order#1 - Filled @ $100, stop @ $95
Order#2 - Filled @ $101, stop @ $96

I modify my stop order and move the stop for order #2 to order #1, so both stops are now @ $95.

Let's say now I want to move the stop for one of the orders to $96 - however, I can't modify the qty, I get a message "you can't change the size of a pre-defined strategy stop/target order". In other words, once orders are grouped they can't be ungrouped, and I would have to cancel and resubmit two new stop orders? Is there another way to split these orders?

Hi,

Program starts were very slow before upgrading to 8.0.9 demo, but now windows were flashing, black windows, windows opening and closing randomly, CPU at 100%, until after 20min. freezing, over. Now NT does not start at all anymore, see screenshot attached, I use 3 monitors.

I just uninstalled 8.0.9 and tried to intall 8.0.8 again, but this does not work at all, so I uninstalled it and installed 8.0.9 again, same problem.

Please let me know, what to do?

I run setup.exe and it says: Your current NinjaTrader 7 Installation requires you to follow the instructions specified in Step 2 of the NinjaTrader 7 Installation Guide. Press OK button to terminate this installation. You can resume your installation once you have followed the instructions in Step 2.

Step 2 is to download NinjaTrader. I've already downloaded it and am running the setup.exe.

There is a problem with your installation message and install.

What do I need to do?

Hello,

just tried to add via Tools->Instrument List

ES 03-18 - gives me error invalid instrument name

then tried adding CL 02-18 adds no problem.

Running 8.0.11 upgraded friday -

Not had this issue before in adding these and already have ES 12-17 running in chart?
